Kids Educational Program

A to JazZ KIDS a music workshop specially designed for little music lovers. On July 6th and 7th (Saturday and Sunday) in the festival park, our kids' educational program will offer funny ways to explore the basics of this art as rhythm and melody dressed in funny children's games, fairy tales and marvellous stories. A to JazZ KIDS is implemented with the assistance of Sofia Municipality, and we all together wish to help the little ones become great music lovers.

Saturday, 6th July – 10:30 AM
"Brazilian Influence in Jazz"

The concert will present the Brazilian influence in jazz music. We will explore the Bossa Nova style, as well as Samba in jazz. Each musical instrument will be presented to children with a brief history – what it is and how it produces sound. During the concert the children will be able to get involved by playing and dancing.

Dance lessons and musical games with A to JazZ KIDS:

Every child will be able to participate in the furo's lessons, as well as would make initial steps in the salsa, and then we will do some musical racing games.

Sunday, 7th July – 10:30 AM
"Ethno Jazz for Kids"

Each musical instrument will be presented, explaining the specificity of its sound production, and its role in a smaller or a bigger band. Various jazz standards with ethno sounding, as well as their jazz-style versions, will be presented. Of course, we will pay attention to the different sizes and their place in jazz. Finally, all kids will be able to join by playing, dancing and performing in ethno-jazz rhythm.

Dance lessons and musical games with A to JazZ KIDS:

Our team has prepared a short lesson in folk dances for all kids, followed by musical racing games. By the rhythm of ethno-jazz, children will be involved in games and dances.
